GET INVOLVED AT THE
KUMEU SHOW
There’s more than one way to be part of the Show.
The Kumeū Show has always been about people getting involved. From local schools, clubs and community groups to the volunteers working behind the scenes, it’s the people who take part that make the Show what it is.
Whether you want to share what your group does, give young people a hands-on experience or lend a hand over Show weekend, we’d love to hear from you.
Community & Local Groups

Bring Your Group to The Show
For generations, agricultural shows have given people a place to come together, share skills and connect with agriculture and horticulture. We welcome local clubs, charities, service organisations, cultural groups, performers and not-for-profit organisations.
For 2027, the proposed Community Stage and community area offer opportunities for local schools, performers and organisations to take part through demonstrations, performances and activities. Programme inclusion is subject to confirmation.
Free 3m x 3m sites are available to approved schools, community organisations and not-for-profit groups, subject to availability and approval. Use your space to meet visitors, share information, recruit members or create an activity that adds to the Show experience.
The Show works with organisations including Kumeū Volunteer Fire Brigade, Nor West Dog Training Club, Kumeū Small Land Owners Association, Auckland Axemen, Huapai Pony Club, Waimauku Scouts and local sporting groups. Their involvement spans demonstrations, animal areas, event support and Show-day activities.
Schools & Youth

Give Young People a Chance to Take Part
Schools and young people can get involved through calf club and livestock classes, horticulture, baking and indoor competitions, demonstrations, performances, youth organisations and opportunities to learn about rural life.
Whether your students want to enter a class, perform as a group or explore a practical agricultural activity, we can help point you in the right direction.

Volunteer with Us

Help bring the Show to life
The Kumeū Show is powered by a core team of more than 40 volunteers and stewards, with many more joining in across Show weekend. We welcome both returning helpers and people who want to get involved for the first time.
Ways to help include Show set-up and pack-down, equestrian areas, indoor competitions, Farm Zone activities, visitor support and general Show-day assistance.
Whether you have a few hours to offer or would like to be involved more regularly, we’d love to hear from you.
